I want to create a WWEE skin, but I don't have a member account. Is there a way to register for a member account without having to provide a credit card
?
I have made changes to my skin, why can't I see them even on the preview server
?
If you are making changes and can't see them, please empty your cache and reload the page. For Internet Explorer users; Go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > General > Browsing History > Delete. For Firefox users; Go to the Tools menu > Options > Privacy > Private Data > Clear Now. For Chrome users: Go to the Customize and Control menu (which is the wrench icon on the top right corner of the browser) > Clear browsing data > Clear browsing data.
Note: Usually all the temporary files (e.g. cache, cookies, passwords, etc. ) are all grouped and emptied together, if you wish to not delete some of these files such as passwords, click on the "settings" button to select which files to empty.
How can I test my Banner or CSS changes before I make them live
?
Create two skins: One for testing, and the other for your live site. Drive all public traffic only to the live site. For example, test ideas and concepts for your "MyWebCamFriends" site
against your "MyWebCamFriends-Test" site. After you've ironed out all the wrinkles, upload your (beta) MyWebCamFriends-Test CSS to your (production) MyWebCamFriends site.
I have created, upload and configured a "LightMode" SiteBanner graphic, but the user cannot see it. (There is also no Light-Mode on/off toggle in the
SiteStatusBar
page region)
?
The
Site_isLightMode_available
property in Global Settings should be set to Yes/On
In Global Settings, I have created, uploaded and configured a Universal SiteHeader graphic file.
Why doesn't it appear
?
First, make sure the
SiteCustomizationLevel
property in
Global Settings is set to '2' or higher. Then, you need to insert the URL of the file you uploaded.
To obtain the URL of the header file, you can go to the "File Library" area, click the link under "URL" for your header file (
see example), and copy the URL from the address bar of the page that pops up.
I speak English and Spanish, and have designed SiteHeader banner graphics specific to each language. (Let's call my brand names "Hot Girls" and "Chicas Calientes").
Although I know how that brand name translates into dozens of additional languages, I don't have the time or inclination to design a SiteHeader banner graphic for each additional
language. What's the best way for me to configure my implementation for these additional languages
?
Imitate the construction of
Carnal Coeds.
Each available language is configured. In English and Spanish, customized banner graphics are exposed ("Carnal Coeds" and "Carnal Mixta") In other languages,
the translation form of "Carnal Coeds" is presented as HTML text against a more generic CarnalCoeds banner. (For the 'generic' languages, the
SiteHeaderShowSurName
property
is configured as 'Yes')
There are dozens of different small graphic files that are called from CSS, using the "url()" statement. To edit them for my level-3 custom
implementation, I must download each, one at a time. Is there a faster way
?
Yes. Save the convenient zip file, provided in your CSS/CSSgraphics folder. It contains a copy of each of the CSSgraphics contained in the
QuickStart Default Set.
I am a ChatHost. Can I setup my own skin and generate revenue for each new join
?
Sure you can! Just login using a new or existing member account (not your ChatHost account). You will then be able to create a new skin using the
WWEE Customization Platform.
In the global settings there will be an option to associate your new skin with your existing ChatHost account (
see example).
When I try to create a new skin, I get this error: Sorry, you are not currently logged in to iFriendsV2 under a member account. Why
?
This error message normally appears because you are trying to create a skin while logged in as ChatHost (Star). ChatHost accounts cannot create skins. Just sign up for a free "PG" account to create the skin, then tie your VCH screenname to it in the Global Settings (
see example).
Where can I get a copy of the graphics files used by the CSS, so I can customize them for my skin
?
First, from the menu to the left side of the screen, click the "Manage CSS" link. You'll find it underneath "Level 3". Next, clink on the link, "Read these Special Instructions" (next to "First time using CSS Manager?"). This will open the "QuickStart Guide for First Timers". Finally, click on the "Copy all CSS files" and "Copy all CSS graphic files" links. By doing so, you will have a copy of all of the CSS files and graphics used in your File Library under CSS. Tip: Use the "0_AllFiles_0.zip" files to download them all at once, rather than one-by-one.
I created my own HTML files and uploaded them. Why can't I see the changes
?
Make sure you have set the
SiteCustomizationLevel
in the "Global Settings" area to 4, then, from the menu bar on the left-hand side of the page, click the "Manage HTML" link under the Level 4 section.
Once there, click on the "Step 4 - Manage Level-4 Settings" link. You must create a record here and set the "Status" to "Active". This will publish your files.
I created custom HTML files for other languages and uploaded them, but they don't seem to work. How come
You must create a record here for each corresponding language and set the "Status" to "Active".
How can I feature specific ChatHosts or create a targeted "niche" site
?
By setting the
"SiteContentFlags_AND_BitMask1"
flags in the "Global Settings" area. These flags allow you to filter the live Hosts according to the categories that you set (for example,
HairColr=
blonde for targeting blondes only).
Can I have my own domain name point to my skin
?
How can I exclude certain parts of the HTML pages I am editing
?
The HTML template pages use WWEE proprietary SSI (Server-Side Include) technology. The template pages
include other external files by calling them through code such as this:
<!--Include:site/SiteFooter.htm-->.
Any of these Include statements can be deleted from the templates to prevent their inclusion.
How do I link my skin to my ClickCash Account
?
After creating your viewer membership (even if it is just a free/"PG" account) and beginning your skin,
click on the "Global Settings" link in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. There you will see,
"SiteCCAcctCode";
just enter your ClickCash screen name (account code) there and click the "Save Changes" button.
What's a "SiteContentFlags_AND_BitMask1"
?
This is a way to specify which types of ChatHosts appear when browsing through the list of live Hosts. So, if you were building a
"Gay Hunks" skin or a "BBW Heaven" skin, you could customize (according to physical description) which types of live ChatHosts would appear on the site.
Once you have created your skin account, go to the "Global Settings" area and click on the "EDIT" link to the right, and you will be able to select from a wide variety of options.
I'm a Clickcash.com affiliate who has created my own skin of the SizzlingCams platform. How can I ensure that when I drive traffic to my skin, any joins are properly tracked and credited in my Clickcash.com reporting
